Attached is a link to a website to help a father and son in need. This is Sean and his dad Ed. They lost their home to a devastating fire in January 2011 and are still homeless, living in a borrowed camper. They did not have insurance and are having trouble starting over. A lot of work has been done to clean up the site to ready it for their new home. All that's stopping them is the lack of a concrete slab. We are asking for help from friends, family and others to accomplish this. Ed is a single Dad who has been responsible for Sean since Sean's mother passed away in 2000. Sean was born with Down's Syndrome and is unable to live on his own or hold a job. Caring for Sean is a full-time job and this prevents Ed from raising these funds on his own. http://mightymag.wix.com/seans-new-home# If you could make it to the picnic and show your support there or just make any donation it would be greatly appreciated by the family and friends who are trying to help get this dad and his son back on their feet.
Update: The picnic and fundraisers raised enough funds to install a concrete slap and the work will begin soon so that this family can be in their new home by fall. Thanks to everyone who contributed!! Comments are closed.
